Touring Ellis Island’s Abandoned Hospitals

We received this glowing testimonial from Georgina Degano from Azul City, Argentina.

I found this picture in my feed... the minute I saw this banner, I feel in love with this tour and we did it. It was the last tour of the day, a very very cold day. My husband was kind of scared, he doesn’t like hospitals, specially old ones, but I LOVE THEM!! I’m a physical therapist and I’m used to be in this kind of places.

And when we got into your hospital... my God... it was like traveling in time. A lost era just minutes away from Manhattan. The rooms, the morgue, the subway tiles, the hexagonal floors, windows, carpentry... and specially the HISTORY within that walls.

I love old buildings, our own home was build back in 1899, so I was amazed. You were an inspiration for design and recicle our house.

I can tell you love the place and you feel passionate about taking care of it. And you were so kind to us the day we did the tour. Such a happy memory. I can’t wait to be back again. I love NYC as if it was my own city. I hope I can visit you this year.

Most kind regards from Azul City, Argentina
